Burnham Holdings, Inc. provides the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry with thermal and interior comfort solutions used in a wide range of residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Our group of subsidiaries is a market leader in the design, manufacturing and sales of boilers and related HVAC products and accessories, including furnaces, radiators, and air conditioning systems. We offer a broad line of high-value, energy efficient products sold under well-established brand names. Products are manufactured at company operated facilities in the East, South, and Midwestern United States.

We are looking for a Parts Manager to join our team! This position will be responsible for purchasing products and materials according to Company procedures and specific direction from the General Manager. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in mechanical contracting, plumbing, heating, or HVAC industries.

This is a full-time, exempt position located in York, PA. Hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.Other duties may be assigned.

  • Purchase products and materials using industry standard Purchasing and Material Control Procedures
  • Timely solicitation of all suppliers and vendors
  • Maintain records that accurately document and quantify vendor and supplier performance
  • Ensure that a quality conscious cost-effective purchasing methodology is practiced
  • Establish, schedule, track and report on priorities, methods, standards and performance of vendors and suppliers
  • Implement and enforce Company Policies, applicable laws, policies, and regulations relative to the Purchasing function
  • Determine proper kinds and quantities of purchased materials and solicit qualified vendors and suppliers in a timely manner to support contract requirements
  • Ensure that vendors and suppliers are qualified to supply materials and services solicited
  • Establish vendor and supplier performance criteria, track, enforce and report, as required
  • Negotiate contracts per project contract requirements, as authorized
  • Ensure vendors and suppliers provide proper documentation
  • Maintain, monitor, and update a list of acceptable/qualified vendors and suppliers. Evaluate on an ongoing basis
  • Determine schedule requirements, communicate, monitor, enforce and report on, as required
  • Maintain lists of and monitor long lead items by project
  • Maintain lists of and monitor all Rental Equipment by project
  • Perform any other reasonable task as directed by the General Manager as may be necessary for the benefit of the Company
  • Conduct physical inventory as needed

Requirements:

  • Requires High School Diploma. Prefer associate degree or greater
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in mechanical contracting, plumbing, heating or HVAC industries or a combination of the above in the capacity of a Parts Manager or estimating or a combination thereof
  • Valid driver’s license

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
